Administrator – L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center

L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center is a licensed facility and outpatient center that provides medical, social, and therapy services for Russian-speaking older adults and individuals with disabilities. We have been a haven of person-centered care and community support for thousands of emigre clients from San Francisco and San Mateo for over 25 years.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Seniors At Home, the Administrator oversees all aspects of the L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center (ADHC), ensuring high-quality care delivery to elderly clients, program compliance with state and federal regulations, and effective financial management. This role involves strategic oversight of program operations, budgeting, team leadership, and stakeholder relations to ensure continuous growth and development of the program. The Administrator collaborates with the Director of Seniors At Home and other departments to enhance service delivery, manage performance, and drive organizational goals.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000 (depending on experience)
  • Employment Type: full-time, exempt position with benefits

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of the L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center, including developing strategic direction, driving process improvements and ensuring effective service delivery to elderly clients, in coordination with Director of Seniors At Home
  • Achieve and exceed financial and service goals, including revenue, productivity, and outcome targets as outlined in the JFCS Operating Budget and Work Plan
  • Ensures participants receive individualized care plans tailored to their needs, preferences, and health conditions
  • Lead organizational change efforts to enhance service delivery, client care, and operational efficiency. Develop change management strategies to address market demands, regulatory changes, and organizational goals
  • Actively participate in training and supervision of a team of professionals, including the L’Chaim Program Director, Billing and Administrative personnel, Registered Nurses, Activity Directors, Social Work professionals, and support staff, ensuring compliance with JFCS policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with the Senior Director of Facilities Operations to address maintenance and operational needs at the Judah Street facility in compliance with JFCS standards. Escalate safety or security concerns as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university, in a field related to the program; and has either:
    • A master’s degree plus two years of successful experience in a responsible managerial, administrative, or supervisory position in a social or health service program or agency; or
    • A bachelor’s degree plus three years of successful experience in a responsible managerial, administrative, or supervisory position in a social or health service program or agency
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in or leading an adult day health center program. Experience with Federal, State, and local reporting requirements and regulations related to elder care
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience with a track record of managing, developing, and mentoring diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and client-centered work culture
  • Knowledgeable about and sensitive to the traditions of Russian Jewish culture, with experience in providing services to this population. Bilingual Russian skills are desirable but not required
  • Experience with healthcare documentation standards and procedures is preferred
  • Experience in budget management, program development, business planning, and quality improvement initiatives
