Activities Coordinator

Pay Range: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full Time, Non-exempt

Shift and Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (9:00AM – 5:30 pm)

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred

What are the Qualifications?

  • Customer service experience and experience with seniors desired
  • Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
  • Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
  • Must read, understand and sign the Report of Suspected Physical Abuse of a Dependent Elder (SOC341A)

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Assist the Director of Life Enrichment in planning, organizing, and facilitating daily activities, special events and outings for residents
  • Set up and prepare activity areas, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available
  • Engage residents in a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, exercise programs, and outings. Encourage participation and support residents in their engagement with activities, adapting as needed to meet individual preferences and abilities. Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, fostering a welcoming environment for all residents. Provide exceptional hospitality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Participate and lead social events, outings, and other destinations according to a scheduled itinerary. Assist with transportation and mobility needs of residents during activities. Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely and respectfully
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during all activities, reporting any concerns and changes in resident behavior to the Director of Life Enrichment
