Financial Assistance
Jewish Family and Children’s Services provides individuals in our community support to help develop, restore, and maintain their self-reliance. Our Financial Aid Center provides loans and grants to Jewish people who live in the San Francisco Bay Area and who:
- Seek help to complete their undergraduate or post-graduate education or vocational training
- Wish to secure loans for professional and business development
- Need financial support to send their child or teen to Jewish summer camps and programs in Israel
For educational, business, and campership funds: please contact Michelle Lamphere, Director of JFCS’ Financial Aid Center, at (415) 449-1226.
For emergency financial assistance: please call 415-449-1212.
“I’d like to emphasize how much your contribution means to me. It is because of the support of those like yourself that I will soon finish my schooling with a college degree. Your generosity has inspired me and I hope one day I will be able to help others achieve their goals just as you have helped me.”

JFCS is here to help you find financial assistance through our own services, partner organizations, and government programs.
The JFCS Financial Aid Center is made possible by the Taube Family Emergency Assistance Fund and the Koret Foundation. Additional support is made possible by individual donations, endowed funds, and grants from the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
