To assist the growing number of individuals and families in San Francisco struggling to make ends meet, Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) in San Francisco is offering a series of free workshops addressing financial concerns. Details about the two upcoming San Francisco workshops follow.
Financial Literacy for Kids
When families need to tighten their belts, how do they talk to their children about family finances? This workshop will address how—and when—parents should communicate difficult financial messages to children in age-appropriate ways. It will also offer them practical tips for teaching children about money. Please note that this workshop is for adults only. Preregistration is required. Rightsizing Your Lifestyle
This workshop will teach participants how to adapt their lifestyles creatively to meet new financial realities. They will learn techniques for developing effective budgeting strategies, managing credit cards, and identifying lifestyle changes they can make that will still allow them to lead fulfilling, enjoyable lives. Preregistration is required. With Scott Haessly, JFCS’ Financial Case Manager, and Eric Singer, JFCS’ Financial Aid Center Director. Wednesday, April 29, 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
