Anita Friedman, Executive Director, Jewish Family and Children's Services
The presentation will include:
- A brief historical overview of Yad Vashem's colossal efforts to record the names of the Jewish Victims of Nazism. To date, over half of the 6 million victims are documented in the Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names Recovery Project (www.yadvashem.org). Millions more will remain unknown as survivors, relatives and neighbors age and pass away unless we reach them soon.
- Presentation of outreach paradigms, best practices and tools for volunteers serving the survivor population.
- Roundtable discussion about how best to implement this project locally.
