To help those dealing with recent loss, JFCS/Seniors At Home offers Healing From New Loss, a comprehensive program of services and support for this critical time. There is no charge for these services, which include:
Immediate Support - At JFCS/Seniors At Home you can meet with one of our bereavement specialists and begin developing strategies for coping with your pain within days of your call.
Professionally Led Groups - Our Healing From New Loss groups connect you to others with similar experiences and provide you with a safe place to share your pain and begin to heal. These eight-week support groups, facilitated by JFCS/Seniors At Home bereavement professionals, ensure that the spiritual, emotional, and psychological components of the grieving process are all fully addressed.
Individualized Healing Plans - Healing takes time and each person does it at his/her own pace. At the conclusion of our Healing From New Loss group you'll meet with your group facilitator to discuss your progress and design a personal plan of next steps.
