Parents Place Special Needs Center

10% of children in California have special health care needs.
We help families find the best resources for each child

Introducing the Parents Place Special Needs Center

With locations in San Francisco, the Peninsula and Marin, the Parents Place Special Needs Center provides care for children with learning, behavioral, physical, developmental, neurological and emotional disabilities and their families. Our mission is to optimize children?s emotional and social well-being and development, and to help children with special needs achieve their highest potential.

Addressing a Community Need

Thousands of children in California have special health care needs. In the San Francisco Bay Area almost 10% of parents report children with learning disabilities and 6% report children with disabling medical or physical conditions.

Other children face social-emotional and behavioral difficulties caused by speech or language delays, learning disabilities, focus problems, early traumatic experiences or unmet emotional needs. Many barriers stand in the way of access to care, especially because the delivery system for services to those with different types of needs is complex.
